High Performance
Virtual Servers —
Transparent by Design.
Each VPS family runs on a dedicated standardized cluster. Modern hardware. No hidden specs.
Our VPS Lineup
3rd Generation General Purpose Linux VMs
Dedicated HA cluster (Proxmox + Ceph, distributed and self-healing) • 1P AMD EPYC 9474F (3.6 GHz base / up to 4.1 GHz boost) • DDR5-4800 memory • Samsung PM9A3 PCIe Gen 4 enterprise NVMe drives • 3 × 25 Gbit/s active links per node • Dual 100 Gbit/s uplinks • Leaf-spine network fabric • ISO 27001 certified site
On GP3 cluster nodes, 48 physical cores may host up to 240 vCores (a 1 : 5 upper-bound subscription ratio) to maintain effective server utilization. High sustained clock speeds and strong per-core performance ensure consistent results and efficient resource use, with negligible impact on typical workloads.
Each VM is provisioned with physical DDR5 memory running at 4800 MT/s. RAM is never shared or oversubscribed.
A dedicated per-VM quota of Ceph-based distributed storage utilizing PCIe Gen 4 enterprise NVMe devices, replicated across cluster nodes for high speed and resilience.
Each VM includes a dedicated virtual network interface with a defined bandwidth limit per plan. This value represents the configured maximum throughput available to the VM; actual transfer rates may vary slightly with network conditions.
You would get at least 25 TB of data per VM each month. Extra traffic is billed per TB at the standard rate of 10NOK. Network ports are never throttled; you keep the full port speed specified in your plan.
VM power-draw values are based on actual server readings at 60% system load, adjusted for 8% PSU overhead and data center PUE. Figures reflect typical (not peak) operation, distributed by VM resource footprint and rounded conservatively for transparency. They serve as practical references for ESG reporting.
3rd Generation General Purpose Windows VMs
Dedicated HA cluster (Proxmox + Ceph, distributed and self-healing) • 1P AMD EPYC 9274F (3.4 GHz base / up to 4.3 GHz boost) • DDR5-4800 memory • Samsung PM9A3 PCIe Gen 4 enterprise NVMe drives • 3 × 25 Gbit/s active links per node • Dual 100 Gbit/s uplinks • Leaf-spine network fabric • Fully licensed and pre-activated Windows Server OS • ISO 27001 certified site
On WGP3 cluster nodes, 24 physical cores may host up to 96 vCores (a 1 : 4 upper-bound subscription ratio) to maintain effective server utilization. High sustained clock speeds and strong per-core performance ensure consistent results and efficient resource use, with negligible impact on typical workloads.
Each VM is provisioned with physical DDR5 memory running at 4800 MT/s. RAM is never shared or oversubscribed.
Each VM includes a 200 GB dedicated base quota of Ceph-based distributed storage utilizing PCIe Gen 4 enterprise NVMe devices, replicated across cluster nodes for high speed and resilience. Storage capacity can be expanded up to 3 TB per VM through predefined options available on the order form.
Each VM includes a dedicated virtual network interface configured with a 1 Gbit/s bandwidth limit. This value represents the configured maximum throughput available to the VM; actual transfer rates may vary slightly with network conditions, but ports are never throttled below the defined limit.
All WGP3 plans include unlimited data transfer under a fair-use policy. This policy ensures that typical business workloads remain covered without additional cost, while allowing us to review unusually high traffic that falls outside normal usage patterns.

Your Questions, Answered.
What is a VPS (Virtual Private Server)?
A VPS is a virtual server with dedicated CPU, RAM, storage, and network resources — isolated from other users. Unlike shared hosting, a VPS provides full control, root access, and stable, predictable performance.
Your VPS comes with a preinstalled operating system, which you choose in the order form. You’re free to install and configure any software you need. If you’re using a Linux-based system, you can manage your VPS via SSH. If you’re using Windows, you can easily connect through Remote Desktop.
You’ll also have access to a modern control panel where you can start, stop, or reinstall the operating system at any time. All data is securely stored in Norway.
What makes ServeTheWorld’s VPS different from others?
What operating systems can I run?
We offer ready-made templates for AlmaLinux, Ubuntu, Debian, and Windows Server Datacenter editions (2022, and 2025). Upon request, you can install your own ISO and customize the system to fit your needs. Control-panel options are available as well — for example, Plesk or cPanel can be installed on request.
Is the Windows Server license included in the VPS plan price?
How quickly is my VPS available after ordering?
All VPS plans are provisioned automatically within minutes of your order. The system verifies each order, and if it’s approved, the VPS is created automatically without human involvement. Once your VPS is ready, you’ll receive an email with login credentials and access instructions.
Can I upgrade my VPS later?
Yes. You can upgrade to a larger plan without losing data, even in the middle of a billing period.
Are backups and snapshots included?
All VPS plans include three concurrent snapshots, except the upcoming Value VPS lineup, where they are optional. Paid options include additional snapshots and backup solutions from Proxmox (Proxmox Backup Server) and Acronis.
What traffic and network speeds do I get?
Traffic limits depend on the VPS lineup. General Purpose (GP3) plans include 25 TB of monthly traffic, with additional data billed at 10 NOK per TB. Windows General Purpose (WGP3) plans offer unlimited traffic, operating under a fair-use policy with no fixed cap. Virtual ports run at their specified speeds — we never apply throttling when limits are reached. Each VPS includes 1 IPv4 address, and you can order more or even bring your own IP ranges if needed.
Do you offer a trial or a refund guarantee?
Yes, we offer a 30-day full refund for individual VPS orders – no questions asked. For larger or bulk orders, we can provide a free test VPS so you can try our service before committing.
The refund guarantee applies only to single VPS purchases, not to bulk or repeated trial orders.
